Special hybrid - although smaller flowered and less robust than F1 hybrids, these mixtures enable Geraniums to be used more extensively for outdoor bedding. For summer flowering outdoors, sow during December-February at a compost temperature of 22-23°C (72-74°F) for rapid germination. Lower temperatures 18-21°C (65-70°F) may take up to 28 days. Transfer seedlings into seed trays or small pots 16-18°C (60-65°F). Keep in good light. Grow the young plants on in 8.5-10cm (3½-4") pots. After hardening off (exposing gradually to cool conditions) plant outdoors from early June. Varieties offered can also be grown as pot plants. Suggested planting distances 30cm (12"). Flowers July-September. July-September Remove faded flowers to prolong blooming.
