Maturing time approximately 30-36 weeks from time of sowing. For maincrop, sow on a prepared seed bed outdoors early March-late April. For early crops, sow in frames or under cloches during February. Transplant to final growing positions at 60-90cm (2-3') apart in well-firmed soil May-early June. Harvest October-February. Pick from base upwards when small walnut size - pushing downwards to remove. F1 hybrids will all be ready at the same time. As autumn approaches earth up stems to anchor plants securely.
