The Hozelock 1385 Bioforce 8000 UVC Filter is perfect for eliminating green water as well as purifying the water for healthy fish and plants and is suitable for ponds with fish up to 8000 litres and ponds without fish up to 16000 litres. It uses Kaldnes K3 Biomedia which is an advanced biological filtration process with increased surface area for superior biological action. Bioforce is a pressurised system meaning that a smaller less obtrusive container size is needed and it can be buried next to the pond out of sight. Being pressurised also means that filtered water can travel up to the top of a waterfall without the need to be placed at the same high level. The high efficiency single-ended 11w UV lamp and in-built water turbulator ensures maximum water treatment and the elimination of green water and there is a handy UVC Viewing point for safe checking of the UV lamp operation without opening the unit.

A profiled mechanical filter foam reduces the filter cleaning frequency presents a larger surface area for the efficient removal of waste and incorporates a layered foam to make thorough cleaning easy. There is also an easy clean backflush facility for flushing debris out of the filter thereby extending the time between thorough foam cleaning.
