Native to forested mountains in China and surrounding countries, Polystichum makinoi are very effective in rockeries, borders or containers. Grow in moist, but well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Remove dead fronds before the new ones unfurl. Protect from excessive winter wet. Polystichum makinoi is an attractive evergreen clumping fern. A vigorous grower forming a compact rosette of dark, glossy green fronds. Supplied in a 2lt pot. Eventual Height: 60cm Eventual Spread: 60cm Full to Partial Shade Evergreen
