Our RHS Premium Berberis Thunbergii Helmond Pillar is a midsized deciduous shrub with upright stems bearing redpurple leaves that turn brighter red in autumn. It bears small, yellow flowers and has red berries in autumn. Plant in any soil in a sunny or partially shaded position preferably sunny for best fruits and autumn colour. Ideal as low maintenance hedging screening. This plant is toxic and may cause stomach upsets if ingested.
