Description: Compact growing Scottish variety bearing heavy crops of large currants that ripen mid-season. Rich tart flavour, delicious as purée with yoghurt or ice cream, or use in pies, jams or juices, freezes well. A rich source of vitamin C. Late-blooming to avoid late spring frosts.

Currants need a fertile neutral soil to crop well (a ph of 6.0-7.5 is ideal) in full sun.

Approximate height 1.2m (4ft) after 5 years.
