Crops in: August

Dispatched: From late October

Description: Morello-type acid type cherry. Fruit bright red and glossy, ripens late but hangs well on the tree. Delicious for preserving or jam, pie or liqueur making. Will crop in partial shade. Self-fertile.

Pollination: This cherry is self-fertile (flowering group 5) but may be planted with any other of our cherry varieties (in flowering groups 4, 5 or 6) to ensure best pollination. Makes an excellent pollinator for many varieties of sweet cherry. Instances of poor pollination are nearly always caused by bad weather at blossom time, limiting the activity of insects.

Approximate height m (10ft) after 10 years.
